History
Now in its 15th year, this pool maintenance franchise is among the world’s largest pool and spa service and maintenance networks. With around 200 franchised territories already operational in Australia (including seven in Adelaide) and a total of only 300 planned, its market coverage is comprehensive and accelerating.

This pool maintenance franchise is multi-award winning, having been recognised as Australian Franchisor of the Year. One of the franchises in Adelaide has been recognised as SPASA Pool Shop of the Year in SA for the past two years running. The network is multi-awarded by the Swimming Pools and Spas Association of Australia.

Locations
The franchise envisages only twelve (12) franchise territories in metropolitan and suburban Adelaide. Of these, seven are already sold ( St Peters, Walkerville, West Lakes, Fulham Gardens, Glenelg and Belair). We are now offering the remaining five franchise territories (which have approximately 1150 plus swimming pools in each area, not including above ground pools), which are based around:

• Elizabeth
• Tea Tree Gully
• Para Hills
• Happy Valley
• Noarlunga

All these franchise territories have been identified as having a critical mass of swimming pools and clients to sustain a multi-vehicle mobile business and a retail hub.

Market / Product
In short, this franchise is active in every aspect of the swimming pool servicing business after the pool has been installed. Not only do they clean pools, they sell chemicals, pumps, filtration systems, chlorinators, heating systems, lifestyle products, etc. Many franchisees are now actively marketing spas, water conservation systems and other products and services – even pool renovations.

Marketing Strategies
This franchise is an active and consistent marketer. National press, local press, direct mail, Yellow Pages, sponsorships, TV, radio and outdoor advertising all features in their marketing mix. National campaigns roll out regularly, supported by regional and local campaigns which franchisees are actively involved in developing.

Summary
The franchisees start with a single mobile van, then build multi-vehicle fleets anchored to their own, centralised , concept retail shopfront . Franchisee support and supervision is intensive at national, regional and local levels. Franchisee training, with a particular focus on pool science and customer care, is best in the industry, so much so that the franchise is a Registered Training Organisation. All franchise technicians achieve internationally recognised technical qualifications.

Apart from this franchise, the industry in SA is unstructured, and some major Eastern-seaboard competitors have to date failed to make significant inroads into the SA market.

A strong focus on commercial swimming pools, which are subject to rigid legislative health regulations, is generating year-round work for our franchisees. This B2B focus is removing much of the seasonal nature of the pool service industry, which has traditionally focussed narrowly on residential pools.
